The
Course: Both the 5K Run/Walk and the 15K Run will start near the registration area and finish at the Northfield Historical Society Building (408 Division St.). This building is the original First National Bank of Northfield and the site of the infamous attempted bank robbery by the notorious James-Younger Gang in 1876. Both the 5K (MN05039RR) and the 15K (MN05038RR) USAT&F certified courses and are run completely on paved roads. The 5K is a moderate layout while the 15K is more challenging with several hills.
ChampionChip
Timing: The "ChampionChip" timing
system will be used again this year. All registered
runners and walkers in both the 5K & 15K events
will compete with the "ChampionChip",
utilizing a computerized timing system on their
shoe.
Entry
Fees: Entries received on or before September 1st - $20.00; Entries received September 2nd or
later - $25.00

You may register on Active.com here. or you can access
a printable entry form on djjd.org. You may also
e-mail dick@northfieldrunning.com
to have an entry form mailed to you.
T-Shirts:
All competitors whose registration is received
on or before September 1st will receive their official
Jesse James Days 5K & 15K t-shirt on race
day. Those whose registration is received on September 1st or after may have to wait for their shirt.
In the event that we have to re-order your shirt
will be mailed.
Aid
Stations will be located at the 2, 4, 6 &
8 mile marks on the 15K course and at the 2 mile
mark on the 5K.
Age
Groups and Awards: The fastest 3 female and
male finishers in both the 5K & 15K races
in each age group (14 & under, 15-19, 20-24,
25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59,
60-69, 70 & over) will receive an award.
Contribute
to our Charity: Donate your old running shoes
to "Mary's Place", a non-profit, transitional
housing center for homeless individuals in the
Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. Just bring
your shoes to the registration area and we will
do the rest!
Safety
concerns: No headphones, in-line skates, bicycles,
or pets are allowed on the race courses. Baby-joggers
are welcome!
