2010 Zoom! Yah! Yah! Completed

The 2010 Zoom! Yah! Yah! Indoor Maration went off without a hitch this year. Please keep checking back for more information. The 2011 Zoom! Yah! Yah! Indoor Marathon will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 6:30 am at Tostrud Field House on the campus of St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN.

2009 Zoom! Yah! Yah! Completed

Christopher Friedman and Dera Nevin Crowned 2009 Zoom! Yah! Yah! Indoor Marathon Champions

The 4th Annual Zoom! Yah! Yah! Indoor Marathon crowned two new champions in 2009. Christopher Friedman (36) of Peoria, IL set a new men’s standard with his 2:51:31 performance. Friedman becomes only the second man to win the Zoom! Yah! Yah! Three time defending champion and former course record holder Randy Peterson (Northfield, MN) lost for the first time while running 3:09:03 and finishing fifth. Darrin Pater (Adrian, MN) finished second with a time of 3:03:53 and Dan Kasper (Northfield, MN) crossed the line in third at 3:06:58.

Dera Nevin (37) of Toronto, Canada was the first woman to cross the finish line in a near course record time of 3:07:57. Nevin’s performance was only 55 seconds off of 2008 champion Amy Yanni’s (Rapid City, SD) course record of 3:07:02. The Women’s Division second place finisher was Laura Jackson (Hamburg, NJ) in 3:40:24 and the third place finish was Jennifer Hansen (Stillwater, MN) at 3:44:39. Nevin, Jackson and Hansen finished 12th, 13th and 14th in the 40 runner starting field.

The 39 finishers in the 2009 Zoom! Yah! Yah! came from 12 states and Ontario, Canada. 85 runners registered for the lottery that was used to determine the 2009 field. The 5th Annual Zoom! Yah! Yah! Indoor Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, January10, 2010.

2009 Zoom! Yah! Yah! Runners Decided

Forty-three runners were selected to particpate in the 2009 Zoom! Yah! Yah! Indoor Marathon. Seventy-seven runners entered and unfortunetly due to space restrictions only forty-three can participate. There is a wait-list for those who still wish to run. If you sent in a entry you should have recieved an email explaining if you are entered or on the wait list.

Also, the website is going through some construction. Please bare with us as we get the site updated and improved. Please check back frequently.

2009 Zoom! Yah! Yah! Registration is Closed

The 2009 Zoom! Yah! Yah! Indoor Marathon registration is now open. Marathoners wishing to run need to complete a registration form and mail it with a check (dated June 20, 2008) for $60, so that it reaches Northfield, MN by June 20, 200. On or about June 25, 2008 we will randomly draw registrations and these runners will be in the marathon. More information can be found in the FAQ section.
